He is 1/4 of 5 Seconds of Summer. Michael Clifford, Luke Hemmings and Calum Hood made youtube videos together when they formed into a band. Ashton Irwin then joined the band as the drummer and played a couple of gigs at places. They then toured with Hot Chelle Rae and then with One Direction.
